Hi, i'm Alix
I am a Clinical Psychologist with over ten years experience working in mental health, and five years of post graduate experience working with young people and adults as a Clinical Psychologist across community mental health settings and private practice.
My approach is warm, genuine and empathic and I place strong emphasis on building meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients, believing that feeling safe, understood and respected is the foundation for meaningful change.
I beleive in working flexibly and creatively, tailoring therapy to each individual’s unique strengths, needs and goals. I draw on a range of evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy and Collaborative and Proactive Solutions. I value collaborative, strengths focused work and aims to support clients to better understand themselves while developing practical skills to navigate life’s challenges.
I provide individualised therapy for a range of psychological and emotional needs including:

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy recharging through time spent with my dog, swimming in the ocean, and getting into nature whenever I get the chance. I value balance, connection and time outdoors, and brings this grounded perspective into his work with clients.
